The 10-man rotation, starring the quite movable Ron Artest

January 3rd, 2008 · No Comments

A
look around the league and the web that covers it. It’s also important to note
that the rotation order and starting nods aren’t always listed in order of
importance. That’s for you, dear reader, to figure out.

C:
Sacramento
Bee
. Working from his blog, Kings beat writer Sam Amick ruminates on the
future of Ron Artest (or any well-paid Kings contributor, really) in Sacramento. Via Tom
Ziller, who
went over a series of Artest trade destinations
on his blog in the
objective style that he’s known for. Seriously, Tom is brilliant when it comes
to taking in a sober assessment of his favorite team, without being too dour,
or too "Artest and a number one for Oden?"-with his analysis.
PF:
FanHouse.
And over at FanHouse, Ziller wonders what it would take to pry David Lee from
the Knicks. We’re starting to get the feeling that, as clueless as Isiah Thomas
is, he might be on to how great Lee can be; even if he only plays him 26
minutes a night. Pity.
SF:
LA
Times
. Chris Kaman is a bit hesitant to start barking orders out at his
teammates, and for that, we thank him.
SG:
Boston
Globe
. The NBA and its teams are spending more and more money while trying
to get away from what "sounds right" to what actually works in reality. Good
times.
PG:
The
Basketball Jones
. New Year, new Jones podcast.
6th:
Can’t Stop the Bleeding.
"Stop Snitching 2" is out, and Carmelo Anthony somehow was a victim of the
editing process. Based on this clip alone, it’s hard to argue with the "SS2"
auteur.
7th:
The Hype.
I made a New Year’s resolution to make this the only NBA New Year’s resolution
column I’ll read.
8th:
Golden
State of Mind
. Anyone expecting the Dallas Mavericks to ever do something
about their on-paper advantages over the Golden State Warriors should just
stop.
9th:
Philly
Inquirer
. New Sixers GM Ed Stefanski is in no hurry to trade Andre Miller,
which means he hasn’t gotten any passable offers for Andre Miller yet.
10th:
DC
Sports Bog
. If anyone was at this soiree, please check in. Mama’s worried.
