The 10-man rotation, starring Scalabrine, his guns, and his fake blog

January 12th, 2008 · No Comments

A look around the league and the web that covers it.
It’s also important to note that the rotation order and starting nods aren’t
always listed in order of importance. That’s for you, dear reader, to figure
out.

(We have point out, and I cannot stress this enough, that the first link in this list leads to a piece of satire. Brian Scalabrine has yet to create his own blog, so if you have seats close to the Celtic bench tonight, don’t ask him how his dog "Elvis" is doing.)

C: American
Basketball Association of America
. "This
is Brian Scalabrine, the fiery haired forward for the Boston Celtics. The fine folks at this here
website offered me my own blog, and I thought, ‘Shucks, it wouldn’t be right to
turn down such a generous offer.’
" It gets better from there.
PF: ESPN.com.
If you read this
column
, from David Thorpe and about Andrew Bynum, you will learn more about
pro basketball. That’s pretty much the point, righto?
SF: SI.com.
Paul Forrester on current NBA players that would make for solid head coaches
someday. Another name I’d throw in, even though he’s not in the league at the
moment, is Randy
Livingston
.
SG: Mister
Irrelevant
. "Five All-Time Dunks on Crazy Tall Guys." Righteous.
PG: Hardwood
Paroxysm
. Wow, lots of stuff here on how to improve the NBA in-game
experience. Take the time to go through it; hopefully it isn’t too many words
for some of my readers. I especially liked the Chicago Bulls‘ theme song and
comment.
6th: Indianapolis
Star
. Jermaine O’Neal’s swanky club is closing down. Or, at least, changing
formats. Via
Indy Cornrows, who had a funny take on the development
.
7th: 3
Shades of Blue
. An exhaustive, entertaining look at what should be an
entertaining Grizzlies/Warriors pairing tonight.
8th: Hornets247. A look at the
lease agreement between the Hornets and the state of Louisiana, and a preview of tonight’s
Heat/Hornets "tilt."
9th: AZCentral. Paul
Coro on the Suns loss: "As for the loss,
the Suns took it fine. They were disappointed but not devastated. They played
hard. They competed for a while. They know they were missing 49.0 points, 18.5
rebounds and 17.6 assists. ‘I’d like to see somebody else play without their
engine, brakes and tires,’ Suns assistant Alvin
Gentry said."

10th: Queen City Hoops. Hot
and not on the Charlotte Bobcats, who have been hot and not.
