always, questions, comments and feedback are appreciated. Hit us up.

On today’s tardy show […]

BDL NBA Power Rankings: Brandon Roy, Blazers keep rising

December 8th, 2008 · No Comments

The BDL NBA Power Rankings combine two parts Dewar’s 12 with one
part flippant observation to create the most unbalanced ranking possible,
and to offer the least accurate look at the state of the NBA on a
weekly basis. If you disagree with your team’s spot, feel free to go
crazy in the comments or spit venom via email.
1. […]

Today on ‘The Steph & The Restless,’ Marbury blasts teammates

December 8th, 2008 · No Comments

On today’s dramatic episode of The Steph and the Restless, Knicks DNP-CD’er Stephon Marbury throws verbal shots at his soon to be ex-teammates, particularly Q-Rich. From the New York Post:
"I sat there for three weeks and didn’t say one word. I didn’t hear one of my teammates say, ‘Why isn’t Stephon Marbury playing? This is […]

Video: Derrick Rose breaks Andre Miller’s ankles

December 8th, 2008 · No Comments

Derrick Rose put on a show in Philadelphia last night. The Chi-Town rookie point guard finished with 18 points, 10 assists, five rebounds and one (damaged) Andre Miller soul as the Bulls defeated the Sixers, 103-92. First, peep the block, and then get those crutches ready. This is all sorts of 720p nasty.

KD’s high-jacked […]

Behind the box score, where Portland will score on you

December 8th, 2008 · No Comments

Portland
96, Detroit 85
We’ve harped a bit on Detroit’s
up and down offense in this space recently, and it was pretty up and down on
Sunday afternoon, but it’s this team’s defense that has completely and utterly
fallen apart under coach Michael Curry. And I think you’ll join me in assuming
that the letdown isn’t completely the coach’s fault.
Portland’s […]

Suicide lines: Marion on the block, Mavs offense, Tay Prince …

December 8th, 2008 · No Comments

Each weekday morning, BDL serves up a handful of NBA-related stories to digest with your stale Sir Grapefellow.
Real GM / Marc J. Spears, Boston Globe: "An NBA source claims that the Heat have placed forward Shawn Marion on the block as they struggle out of the gate. Marion, who is making $17.8 million in the […]

Game to pay attention to: Hornets vs. Trail Blazers

December 8th, 2008 · No Comments

New
Orleans at Portland
New Orleans
is on the road, playing the second night of a back to back. And, to be honest,
they looked a little sluggish at times in Thursday’s win over the Nuggets.
Portland, meanwhile, has gone
6-0 at home this season, compared to 10-6 overall, and this team’s depth seems
almost laughably good in comparison to New
[…]

Ball Don’t Lie’s obligatory Thanksgiving post

December 8th, 2008 · No Comments

What do I have to be thankful for this weekend? There’s an awful lot. The basics include my health, family, friends and love. Beyond that, I’ve got a nice little apartment, quite possibly the greatest job in the world, League Pass, The Jones, cool bosses and co-bloggers, the list could go on and on. But […]

The 10-man rotation, starring a homesick Darko Milicic

December 8th, 2008 · No Comments

A look around the league and the web that covers it. It’s also important to note that the rotation order and starting nods aren’t always listed in order of importance. That’s for you, dear reader, to figure out.
C: Memphis Commercial Appeal, via Ballhype. I guess this is like, what, Super Free Darko?PF: The Sports Culture. […]
